Daily Dress: Don't I Know You?

You probably recognize this model from my last post, which should be located immediately below this one. It's probably coincidence that I like most of the dresses she models on the website, but I must say, she is simply stunning in the most delicate, ethereal way. Just like the lovely dress she's wearing.
Exquisite.
This is one of those dresses I could admire endlessly and pine for forever, but I don't think I'll ever buy.

Daily Dress: Colors of the Wind

Good news! After spending several hours browsing through dresses at asos.com, my hope for a beautiful, unique, reasonably priced prom dress has been refreshed. This one I find especially appealing, although I was nearly certain I didn't want a long dress this year:
The blend of random colors look just splendid together. Also, it makes me think of Pocahontas.

Daily Dress: Purple Brocade

If I could wear any dress to prom that I wanted, I'd wear this one. Unfortunately, it's not being sold anymore on the website where I found it, and I don't think any other website has it. :(

Prom Dress Issues

It is now April 1st. Prom is on April 30th. I have yet to get a dress. This is mostly because I hate most of the dresses sold at department stores. They just all seem so tacky to me, and I don't savor the idea of meeting someone else wearing the same dress as I do. But none of this is really that big of a problem, because there are plenty of cute dresses at Modcloth.
Up until today, I had my hopes set on this dress:
Simple, elegant, classy, somewhat reasonably priced, unique, and got great reviews. Just a moment ago I checked the website and saw that it was still out of stock (as it has been for the past week or so) but then I also noticed that the reviews had disappeared-- which usually only happens when that item is not going to be restocked. :(

So now I'm looking mournfully at other dresses, but I can't find anything that seems... right.
This dress is lovely, but I don't think I want a black prom dress. Also, I don't know if the cut would flatter my figure as much as the white one would have.
The color of this dress is absolutely stunning, and I love the cut of the back, but it doesn't seem quite formal enough.
Although I don't really want a long prom dress this year, this dress is beyond gorgeous and very tempting... but it's nearing the edge of my price range and I'm not sure I'd fit into the sizes they have left (based on the reviews).

THIS SUCKS.

Daily Dress: Swedish Birds

This dress is just so colorful and funky and glorious. It honestly reminds me of Swedish fish... but with birds. The cut of the neckline is wonderful.
Not to mention the open back. I love that, it's absolutely gorgeous and just the right amount of sexy, but I don't own any dresses that are open backed because I don't think I could wear a dress without a bra :/

Daily Dress: The Little Mermaid

Oh, this dress is so lovely. I feel like it would look especially good with curled, light blonde or red hair.

Opening Ad-Dress (Here Come the Puns)

Hello. My name is Annika, and I'm a shameless dress junkie. It became official when I discovered Modcloth last fall, but I've always loved wearing dresses. Recently, I've been particularly interested in vintage/vintage inspired dresses. This is a place for me to drool over the countless beautiful dresses and gowns that I most likely cannot afford and will never own and generally share my love for dresses so that it doesn't take over my other blog, which you can read here: >http://www.aperpetuallyshiningsun.blogspot.com/<
